- Promotes research on the dynamics of misinformation in the Spanish language that circulates on social networks and digital platforms.
- It has local allies in each edition of the events that take place to promote ideas and solutions to combat misinformation.

Debunk.eu

DEBUNK (demaskuok in Lithuanian) is a unique Lithuania-born initiative uniting competing media outlets, journalists, volunteers for a single purpose – to make society more resilient to orchestrated disinformation campaigns.

Regretfully, the world-wide response to disinformation is too slow, too fragmented and still relying on an outdated 2G approach, where the first G stands for Google search (manual monitoring) and second G – for Gut feeling (no data-based evidence).

Cyber News Verification Lab

This project is an experiment in experiential learning through a cyber verification lab at the University of Hong Kong’s Journalism and Media Studies Centre. This ‘J-school verification lab’ is believed to be the first of its kind in Asia. Meedan from Google News Labs has partnered in this research by providing access and technical support to develop a global platform for the verification lab.

CrossCheck

A collaborative journalism project that brings together newsrooms across France and beyond to accurately report false, misleading and confusing claims that circulate online, similar to Comprova. A project where journalists from different Nigerian media outlets work together to combat information disorder, particularly as the country heads towards the 2019 elections.
