This is a research project that will work to expand the definition and scope of what is considered a reliable source (WP:RS) on Wikipedia for marginalized communities. Art+Feminism is an intersectional feminist non-profit organization that directly addresses the information gap about gender, feminism, and the arts on the internet.

rbutr

rbutr tells you when the webpage you are viewing has been disputed,
rebutted or contradicted elsewhere on the internet.

rbutr is a community-driven app which connects webpages together on the basis that one page argues against the other.

Visit a rebutted page and you will be told "There are rebuttals to this page." You can then open up the rebutting article(s).

Found a great rebuttal? Connect it to the page(s) it rebuts so that people reading those articles can know about it.

Raskrinkavanje

The Raskrinkavanje.ba platform was launched by the team of the "Why Not" organization, which has many years of experience in fact-checking, through work on checking the accuracy and consistency of statements of public officials, and monitoring the fulfillment of election promises on the Istinomjer platform.

Putting Civic Online Reason In Civics Class

The COR curriculum was developed by the Stanford History Education Group as part of MediaWise—a partnership of SHEG, the Poynter Institute, and the Local Media Association. The MediaWise collaboration is supported by Google.org as part of their Google News Initiative.

The goal of MediaWise is to provide educators with tools to help students evaluate online information. It is based on classroom research that shows that students in COR classrooms gain significantly in the knowledge and skills needed to determine the trustworthiness of digital content.

PUSAD is a center for research on religion and democracy, they conduct research on hate speech and political disinformation.

PubliElectoral

PubliElectoral is a technological tool of social interest that allows the collection
of information related to electoral advertising on social networks without affecting the privacy of citizen users. PubliElectoral is an extension (or plug-in) that is downloaded and installed in the internet browser (computer or desktop). When the user browses a Facebook page, it detects the political advertisements that are shown according to their profile and stores them in a database, so that later the team of the Association for Civil Rights (ADC) can contrast them and analyze.

Public Editor

Public Editor is an independent, non-profit (501c3) that provides credibility scores for news articles, journalists, public figures and news sites by guiding volunteers to complete online media literacy tasks identifying argumentative fallacies, psychological biases, inferential mistakes, and other misleading content.

With a transparent & non-partisan process, they’re engaging thoughtful citizens in a massive effort to clean up the news.

Projeto Credibilidade

The Trust Project develops transparency standards that help people assess the quality and credibility of journalism. These standards are adopted by news outlets through an international consortium led by award-winning journalist Sally Lehrman.

Project Look Sharp is a nonprofit, mission-driven outreach program of Ithaca College. Our mission is to help K-16 educators enhance students’ critical thinking, metacognition, and civic engagement through media literacy materials and professional development.
