The Contextus Platform takes in text and images from social media platforms and online communities and uses artificial intelligence to analyze and decode this data for hidden meaning. By tracking the flow of information, it can ultimately help to expose or predict possible threats, hostile intentions, and hate acts.

ZimFact is an independent, non-partisan Zimbabwean online fact-checking platform.

Verify-Sy

Verify-Sy platform is a media platform specialized in examining news and images and verifying information, and Verify-Sy platform seeks to achieve two noble goals: ensuring the citizen's right to obtain accurate and correct information, and contributing as much as possible to improving the performance of the Syrian media and upgrading it by displaying the imbalances that affect it.

Since December 2018, a group of media, journalists, social organizations and universities inspired by international experiences in the fight against disinformation decided that it was a good idea to get together to project a similar initiative to accompany the electoral campaign beyond what is usually done from the media.

We focus on two types of content:
- Rumors spread on social networks.
- Contents of public discourse (statements by politicians, candidates for government positions and leaders).

VERA Files Fact Check

VERA Files is a nonstock, nonprofit independent media organization. Founded in March 2008, it is published by veteran Filipino journalists taking a deeper look into current Philippine issues. Vera is Latin for “true.”

The organization’s chief purposes, as embodied in its articles of incorporation, are to:
(1) Engage in the research, writing, production and distribution of news and other media products and related services in multiple formats, including but not limited to print broadcast and online, to advance excellence in journalism; and

The Social Media Tracking Centre

The first SMTC was deployed during Ghana’s 2012 elections. The idea is to identify electoral malpractices in real time, using such information to warn the relevant institutions. In Ghana, Penplusbytes passed relevant information on to the National Elections Security Task Force (NESTF) – and this body acted on it. SMTC teams monitor platforms like Twitter, Facebook et cetera. They use the Aggie social media tracking software to monitor, verify, and inform important stakeholders of misinformation.

The Raskrinkavanje.ba platform was launched by the team of the "Why Not" organization, which has many years of experience in fact-checking, through work on checking the accuracy and consistency of statements of public officials, and monitoring the fulfillment of election promises on the Istinomjer platform.

We do this by ranking the world’s most powerful internet, mobile, and telecommunications companies on relevant commitments and policies, based on international human rights standards. We work with companies as well as advocates, researchers, investors, and policymakers to establish and advance global standards for corporate accountability.

Project Certeza

First deployed on Election Day in 2018, Project Certeza’s purpose was to identify and deal with false information disseminated, particularly through social networks but also through any other media, that could produce uncertainty or distrust in the citizenry about the electoral authority’s responsibilities as the election is happening.
