Content and Tactics

The Hamilton 2.0 dashboard, a project of the Alliance for Securing Democracy at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, provides a summary analysis of the narratives and topics promoted by Russian, Chinese, and Iranian government officials and state-funded media on Twitter, YouTube, state-sponsored news websites, and via official diplomatic statements at the United Nations. (NOTE — there currently are no UN statements or YouTube data for Iran).

HabLatam is a regional project in Latin America that will be implemented in its first phase in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Colombia . Through it, the following is sought:
- Obtain and publish quality data in an open and accessible way, on the daily practices and perceptions of youths regarding their digital skills and content gaps.
- Develop and implement innovative and participatory methods that capture the perspectives, practices and skills of young people, avoiding adult-centered gazes and practices.

EU DisinfoLab is an independent non-profit organisation focused on tackling sophisticated disinformation campaigns targeting the EU, its member states, core institutions, and core values. EU DisinfoLab is a young NGO focused on researching and tackling sophisticated disinformation campaigns targeting the EU, its member states, core institutions and core values. We develop and maintain the main independent European platform on disinformation, which assembles the community of experts fighting disinformation and provides them with needed tools and resources to encourage collaboration.

This project visualizes the Atlantic Council’s DFRLab research on coordinated disinformation campaigns. Coordinated disinformation campaigns are more likely to thrive when they go unnoticed and unchecked. This interactive visualizer breaks down the methods, targets, and origins of select coordinated disinformation campaigns throughout the world. There are significant efforts across the industry working to stop the effects of disinformation. These countermeasures take a wide range of forms.

DisinfoPortal.org is a one-stop interactive online portal and guide to the Kremlin’s information war. The portal aggregates open source research and journalism from the United States and Europe and presents it in a user-friendly way, with timely multimedia content produced by the Atlantic Council and its partners explaining Russia’s ongoing influence operations.

At Meedan’s Digital Health Lab we are researching, designing and testing a digital response framework for addressing health misinformation online, centered around accessibility and equity.

Catalyzing a global network of digital forensic researchers, following conflicts in real time. Mission: To identify, expose, and explain disinformation where and when it occurs using open source research; to promote objective truth as a foundation of government for and by people; to protect democratic institutions and norms from those who would seek to undermine them in the digital engagement space. The Digital Democracy Monitor Toolkit seeks to empower researchers with the knowledge, tools and examples to analyse democratic discourse online.

Colombiacheck is a project of the Editorial Board , a non-profit, non-partisan organization that brings together more than 100 associated journalists in Colombia to promote investigative journalism. The project consists of a digital, open and collaborative platform in which articles based on the fact-checking technique are published, which comes from a long tradition of Anglo-Saxon journalism and is known as fact-checking.

The Certified Content Coalition certifies trustworthy publishers that meet fundamental standards, giving consumers confidence in journalistic content. CCC will implement a broadly accepted system to certify online publishers that meet minimal standards. The public will be able to have more confidence in news if they know the social networks and others are using this third-party system to downplay suspect news sources before they go viral...
